First place for patriotism!

Some members of the girls' Brownie troop participated in Penfield's June-30-Fourth-of-July Parade this morning. We all brought our own decorations and decorated one family's truck. The seven girls sat in the back of the truck and threw candy to kids watching the parade, while David and I, and another mom and dad, walked behind.

The girls were thrilled that we won First Prize for Most Patriotic Float.

You might be able to tell that our contributions to the decoration were posterboards with phrases from the Declaration of Independence. We (ok, I) cut out all of the letters, pasted them on white posters, and painted them with coffee and tea to make them look like old documents.

Most patriotic, you'd better believe it!
