Madison must get glasses

We went to the optometrist yesterday, as the pediatrician's office had recommended it at Madison's evaluation in January.

Boo hiss. She not only has my color eyes, she has my eyes all through. Crap. She needs glasses. She's not too upset, fortunately, although if you ask her she'll put on a little grumping act about it.

I haven't acted at all negative about it with her, of course, but I'm very unhappy about this. I know what it's like to have crummy vision, to have had declining vision through most of my life. My corneas are too thin for lasik surgery, too. I hate waking up in the morning not being able to see. I hate fumbling for my glasses. And I'm sad she'll have to go through it, too.
