Those Scholastic people do it right

This week, we visited New York City for a special author book signing. Madison is nuts about the 39 Clues series published by Scholastic, and I heard about a special event at Bank Street Books, a kids' bookstore at Columbia: Three of the authors of this 10-book series (each of these three has written two books in the series) were there: Jude Watson, Peter Lerangis, and Gordon Korman. They each gave about a 10-minute talk that was very engaging for both kids and adults, and then they signed the books.

Also there was Japanese Public Television (apparently there is a big 39 Clues fan base in Japan), and they interviewed Madison, who of course was her articulate self. Everyone there (the authors, the BSB people, and the Scholastic people) was very impressed that we were there all the way from Rochester. Here is a little video clip I took of Gordon Korman:
