We had the annual Parent Meeting for Brownies today.
Have I mentioned that I hate Brownies?
Oh, yes, I have.
The girls have no idea. I kind of hope Madison doesn't want to do it next year, so that I don't have to have girls in two different troops. Double the fun.
The Cookie Mom is a dad this year, the husband of the troop leader. He is taking it very seriously.
Anyone want cookies? That's in October and November. Can I use my 6000-family KidsOutAndAbout.com email newsletter to sell cookies? No, I can't. Against the rules.
No gluten-free cookies.
We have a quota of 100 boxes per girl, or 130 boxes per family. Let's see, if I buy them all myself, that's...about $520, I think. They'd all be Thin Mints.
"Mariposario" means "butterfly sanctuary" in Spanish and is the name of our home school. My two little butterflies are Madison (10 1/2) and Ella (9). This blog records the minutiae of Madison and Ella's learning, mostly for me to keep records of progress, but also so that others can add their two cents.
