Birthday of the Day: Katharine Hepburn, 1907-2003
Today's Birthday of the Day is Katharine Hepburn, who is always fun to read about. Good person, active mind and tongue, hard-working, principled. Even her scandal, her love affair with Spencer Tracy, is admirable. She was also mostly home-schooled! She'd be 101 today if she hadn't died in 2003. Even so: a long active life mostly to be admired.

She is my absolute favorite actress of all time! :o)
My eldest daughter is named after her. I think this idea has in some way imparted an attitudinal edge in her (even if it is just from constantly correcting the spelling for people - that second "a" is tough).
