Madison was beaming ecstatically after her first rehearsal tonight for Schoolhouse Rock. She has about four lines, and a solo in one of the songs.
I was impressed with the crew and the show in general. Very positive and nurturing, concerned with the quality of the show while mindful to keep it fun for the kids.
Sometimes, as a parent, you get a sense that an experience your child is having is particularly good for her, and you're happy with yourself for having figured out to put her right where she needs to be. This is one of those times.
Ella enjoyed her time with David, too. She'll have a lot of nice Daddy-and-Ella time for a while.
"Mariposario" means "butterfly sanctuary" in Spanish and is the name of our home school. My two little butterflies are Madison (10 1/2) and Ella (9). This blog records the minutiae of Madison and Ella's learning, mostly for me to keep records of progress, but also so that others can add their two cents.
