The new 39 Clues book, Book 6, came out today.
It wasn't at the libraries yet. So I gave in to Madison's entreaties and bought it for her after I went out to vote. I mean, I can think of a lot more indulgent parental indulgences.
We arrived at Barnes & Noble at 5:40. The book was $11.36 with the B&N Member's discount. She finished the 206-pager at 7:45, including the interruption for dinner. She said it was among the better ones in the series. I was glad, because that's a pretty high price-per-reading-minute. Made me wish J.K. Rowling was coming out with another one; at least it would hold her for 12 hours or so.
