This morning, David broached the idea of going to church this Sunday with the girls.
"Dad," said Ella, in, apparently, a lecturing sort of tone, "Easter is about bunnies, and springtime, and candy, and eggs, and chicks, and stuff like that. Why would we ruin it by going to hear someone give a talk about a guy who was murdered?"
Me, I'm with her.

I often find myself having to explain to people that it's hard to find a version of the Easter story that's suitable for preschoolers because it's kind of complicated and involves a murder.
