Limericks for yesterday's celebration

Yesterday was National Limerick Day. John Enright wrote some.

Here are ours:

Madison's limerick:
Oh, Sally she hated her books:
They were all about little brooks.
The more Sally despised them,
The more her brother prized them,
So all of her brook books he took.

Ella's not-quite-limerick but still fun poem:
My puppy's in love with a guppy,
I don't know how it happened that way
My puppy's in love with a guppy,
I found out about it just today.
My puppy's in love with a guppy,
And that's all that I have to say.

"My puppy's in love with a guppy" made me laugh right out loud. It comes off a bit droll, doesn't it?
