Dance the samba with me, folks

The book is done. A Perfect First Draft.

(According to Anne LaMott, all first drafts are perfect first drafts.)

The Frontier Team. Midgrade novel. Eighteen chapters, 150 pages, 39,000 words. And hey, its protagonists are home-schooled, although that's not really the focus of the book.

Of course, now the work really begins. A month or so of editing, and then goodness knows how long to find a publisher.

But it's done. And fortunately, I love editing. It's the writing that's like bleeding. Editing is more like using Starfleet Medical gizmos to heal a scrape on the kneee.

Let the fun begin. I'm chair-"samba"ing right now and if it were later, I'd raise a tropical drink for you, too.

Congratulations!
