Annika is Seven

Annika is seven, and she is happy.

And I am so lucky, lucky, LUCKY that my girls are healthy.

I almost wish there was someone to thank for this, my heart is so full of gratitude sometimes.

On the flip side, though, I am glad that there is no cruel being who whimsically zapped a sweet little blonde girl in Normal, Illinois with liver disease and a cleft palate and clubbed fingers. No one to blame, no one to fill the mind with hatred.

It's better that way.
