I know I posted about a month ago that Ella can't help but read.
I was right, mostly, but it's REALLY true now. Even the words she doesn't recognize right off the bat she doesn't hesitate to sound out as quickly as she can. And then, the other words just flow right in, effortlessly; unlike last month, she doesn't need to deliberately focus on the word to see what it means. Much less energy is spent, now.
About 10 days ago, she finished Little House on the Prairie, with her reading all pages that are "short" (i.e., have a little picture) and me reading all that were long. For her prize, she chose a little Webkins dog that she named, appropriately enough, Jack.
