I appreciate the rantings of Ned Vare on his blog School is Hell. Those who like John Taylor Gatto will like Ned.
I left some comments on his post from yesterday, Evelyn Russo is above average. Some of the comments were taken from part of my KOA newsletter, in which I wrote another Math Rant, using David's Winter Quarter experiences from his Calc III class that just finished.
"Mariposario" means "butterfly sanctuary" in Spanish and is the name of our home school. My two little butterflies are Madison (10 1/2) and Ella (9). This blog records the minutiae of Madison and Ella's learning, mostly for me to keep records of progress, but also so that others can add their two cents.
