I think the Puppy Place books, in combination with Barnes & Noble's summer reading program, have finally done it.
Yesterday, Ella started reading in her spare time, not for school. She was at it for an hour and a half or so.
A real marker in our lives.
She's doing it right now. She got up and started reading. Not playing with the computer, not watching television. Reading. For pleasure.
